From cherry blossom to cherry fruition: cherry-picking trip 07/10/07 CSSA organized a cherry-picking trip on Jun. 30. The fully booked trip had more than 50 people from the four institutions, as well as Columbia University, NYU, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, CUNY, Polytechnic University and the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in New York. CSSA members showcase Chinese culture at International Immigrant Parade 07/10/07 The International Immigrant Parade was held on Jun. 23. More than 60 Chinese students and scholars, including those from CSSA, formed a team, put up traditional costumes and marched across Manhattan's mid-town along Broadway to showcase Chinese culture to American society. 2007 "Zhi-Yu Cup" Greater New York Inter-Institution Table Tennis Tournament achieved an unprecedented success 07/10/07 The 2007 "ZhiYu" Cup Greater New York Table Tennis Tournament organized by CSSA at Wang Chen Table Tennis Club on Jun. 16 turned out to be a great success. Sixteen teams from more than twenty institutions in Greater New York area participated in the tournament. The results of the competition are as follows:
Champion Consul Yao Da from the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in New York and Bihui Huang, the President of CSSA, attended the prize-awarding ceremony and delivered warm congratulations to the winners of the tournament. As the largest inter-institution Table Tennis tournament in greater New York so far, the event has been reported by Chinapress after the tournament. CSSA joins other New York institutions to support NYUCCC's protests against NTDTV's international Chinese classical dance competition to be held on NYU campus 07/05/07 CSSA joins 30 other academic institutions in New York to support NYUCCC's protests against NTDTV's international Chinese classical dance competition to be held on NYU campus.
