Dear CSSA members and friends,
由包括康奈尔大学医学院，洛克菲勒大学，斯隆癌症中心，特殊外科医院四校中国学生学者联谊会在内的大纽约地区20余所兄弟院校共同主办的2010"华夏之光"大纽约高校联合春节联欢晚会取得圆满成功．
中华人民共和国驻纽约总领事馆副总领事董晓军，中美人民友好协会前会长，93岁高龄的悉尼-格拉克博士，纽约安良工商总会主席苏焕光等嘉宾出席了此次晚会并致词。董晓军副总领事首先代表总领馆对20所高校共同主办盛大春晚表示祝贺，并宣读了总领事彭克玉大使专门给晚会的贺信。
晚会同时还对即将在上海开幕的世博会及南京申办“2014年第二届青奥会”进行了广泛的宣传。江苏省委常委、南京市委书记朱善璐专程向晚会发来贺信，对晚会的成功举办表示祝贺，并对广大留美学子关注和支持南京申办青奥表示感谢。
中国驻纽约总领事馆教育领事周艳，美国联邦最高法院律师胡知宇，纽约中国和平统一促进会副会长刁锐文，美中文化艺术基金会主席李丽，中国旅美企业家协会Shane Wang博士， 斯隆癌症中心知名华人学者李明助理教授等其他社会各界名流及现场700余名观众共同观看了精彩纷呈的演出.
著名表演艺术家陈旻（国家一级演员）、钰存（国家一级演员）、赵乃义，纽约知名艺术团体游子吟合唱团、Choas乐队等，以及各高校学子在晚会上为观众共同表演了精彩的文艺节目。中华人民共和国驻纽约总领馆官方网站及《侨报》, 美国中文电视网等著名华文媒体报道了此次晚会。

“2010 Greater New York Grand Chinese New Year Party”, co-organized by Four-institution CSSA and Chinese Students and Scholars Associations of 16 other Greater New York Institutions on Saturday evening, January 30 2010, turned out to be a great success.
More than 700 audiences and guests attended the grand party and enjoyed the wonderful performances.

Deputy Consul General Mr. Xiaojun Dong congratulated the success of the Party and read the letter address by Ambassador Keyu Peng specifically to the Party. The party also had special promotional events for the upcoming Expo 2010 in Shanghai and events to support "Nanjing's bid to host the "2014 Youth Olympic Games". Mr. Shanlu Zhu, Party Secretary General of Nanjing also addressed a letter specifically to the Organizing Committee of the Party to congratulate the success of the Party and acknowledge the Organizing Committee's efforts to support Nanjing's bid.
The party has been reported on the official website of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in New York, the famous Chinese newspaper "Qiao Bao" and by the American Chinese TV "Sinovision".
